Lewis Banks is a designer and maker of enamel artworks. His work ranges from jewellery to large three-dimensional sculptural pieces. Based on the Firth of Forth in the coastal village of Aberdour, much of Lewis’s work is inspired by nature and the sea.

The pieces are created by multiple sequential firings of transparent and opaque glass enamels on copper resulting in striking “colour textures”.

Lewis says, “I am fascinated by how the organic world can be represented and recreated in these inorganic materials”.

His work is on show in commercial galleries throughout the UK including The Quay Gallery in his home village of Aberdour.  He is happy to accept commissions.
